To provide an introduction to objective myofascial evaluation and treatment of various pathologies related to structures in the upper quadrant.
-
To broaden the understanding among various healthcare professionals of the importance of the fascial network, and how the health of the whole system affects specific pathologies.
Learning Outcomes:
-
Participants will learn to evaluate and mold a model of effective treatment, synthesizing the principles of Structural Medicine and utilizing standardized, reproducible objective measures.
-
Participants will gain a plausible understanding of the fascial, neurological, lymphatic and muscular systems and the interrelationships of these systems in contributing to pathology and dysfunction.
-
Participants will gain an understanding of the fascial and neuromuscular pathology of syndromes commonly seen in everyday practice.
-
Participants will be able to recognize structural patterns that induce certain forms of pathology of the upper extremity.
-
Participants will learn to objectively test and document restrictions and create a treatment plan that is within the scope of the series.
-
Participants will come to understand the spiral function of the upper extremity and its relationship to functional activities.
